Dave, My son is a S.E.R.E. specialist for the USAF and what they do to their knife’s goes against everything my grandpa and dad has taught me on what NOT to do with my knife. This knife is amazing. What my son puts it through I would never do to any knife “UNTIL NOW”. We were hunting in Montana this year and he used this knife to chop down a 6” fir and cut it into fire wood. “YES this knife” Not only did he chop with it but he used a 3” hard wood log 2’ long to BEAT the knife through the log to make kindling. Then he used a river rock to pound the knife into and through a stump to find some pitch. He says this is how he uses his knife “EVERY DAY” when training students (air crew members) how to survive in the woods with only a knife. I just thought I would let you know how Chris is treating your knife. He loves it. The other S.E.R.E instructors are going to put and order in for this knife, because what they put them through this is the knife to have.
If you see a design you like, but would prefer a different handle, let us know. We have a variety of stabilized wood, horn, bone and synthetics available. We also offer custom knives.
